Brandan A. Hallaq
Brandan A. Hallaq is an attorney with the law firm of Cummings, McClorey, Davis & Acho, P.L.C. in the firm’s Livonia office where he focuses his practice in the areas of business and real estate law. As a member of the community association and real estate practice group, he represents condominium associations and homeowners associations in all aspects of litigation as well as drafting governing documents and contracts. Additionally, Mr. Hallaq has experience preparing the necessary documents for business formation, acquisitions and sales of businesses, franchise agreements and licensing, bankruptcy, and land use/zoning matters.
Prior to joining Cummings, McClorey, Davis & Acho, P.L.C., Mr. Hallaq worked for Judge Walter Shapero of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, clerked at a mid-size commercial litigation law firm representing commercial lenders, and worked in a Fortune 500 corporation’s in-house legal department.
Mr. Hallaq obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Wayne State University Law School in May, 2016 where he graduated cum laude. During law school, he served as an Assistant Editor on the Wayne Law Review, where his Student Note was selected for publication, and he participated in the Transactional Law Competition where students were required to draft and negotiate a complex agreement for a large business transaction. He also received the Bronze and Silver Key Certificates for academic excellence, was awarded the 2016 Association of Corporate Counsel Michigan Scholarship Award for excellence in business and corporate law classes, and was named as a Dean’s Scholar for all three years of law school.
Mr. Hallaq obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Wayne State University in May, 2013 where he graduated cum laude. During his undergraduate studies, he was awarded the Wayne State University Scholars Day Award and was a member of the first graduating class of the Wayne State University Community of Scholars.
